Mattia Pasini has already a rider inside his family (his father, Luca, has several titles in the Italian championship of speed, as well as other important outcomes), and at 11 years old already riding the tracks of the Italian pocket bike and manages to triumph on several occasions.
In 1996 he won the title of pocket bike beating riders like Dovizioso, De Angelis and Poggiali.
He remains long on the pocket bike and also participates at the European championship, where in 2001 arrives 3^rd at European Championship 125cc.
In 2004 he was chosen by Lucio Cecchinello, based on the indication of Roger Marcaccini, as a team mate of the veteran Roberto Locatelli. He carries out almost all the races of the calendar and in ten occasions took points, concluding the season in 15th position and with the nomination of “Rookies of the Year”.
For 2005 remains at the control of an Aprilia, always with Roger Marcaccini, this time with the team Totti Top Sport 3C, with the owner of the great talent of Francesco Totti, footballer, establishing itself permanently in the 125cc category and imposing itself as rider of reference and rider to beat.
In 2006 he starts the season in the eighth-liter riding an Aprilia of the Team Aspar; once again for him six podiums and two victories (at Mugello and Germany) which allow him to close in fourth place overall in the ranking pilots.
In 2007 occurs at the start of the season in the 125cc always riding an Aprilia, but this time for the team Polaris World, entirely managed by Roger Marcaccini. The prerequisites for a good season and to point to the title are very good but from the first race they understood that will be a troubled year, full of bad luck and mechanical problems. Anyway he fighting for the top positions in all GPs, he won 4 (England, Netherlands, San Marino and Japan) and he went to the podium in Czech Republic. At the end of the season we was in fifth position of the Championship. But during 18 GP he obtained the good number of 10 Pole Positions.
In 2008, running with the Team Polaris World but for this year with an official Aprilia RSA motorcycle 250cc.
First year in 250cc with a good start: First victory in Qatar in the first race of the championship and first victory in the new category. Several podiums during the year and Final Championship with an eighth place.
In 2009 a change of team, but not motorcycles. Mattia has always at disposal a 250cc Aprilia RSA, but this time with the Team Toth and a new team, ready to give everything to help Mattia to try to win the World title.
